Egypt has notified that it has unilaterally terminated the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on Ro-Ro and Road Transit Transportation between Turkey and Egypt, and that the said MOU will not be renewed at the end of its period of validity (April 2015).

While Ro-Ro and transit cargo transportation arrangements existing between Turkey and Egypt have occupied a modest place in the trade relations of Turkey with the region, these arrangements have provided a significant contribution to the Egyptian economy. With this act, the Egyptian Government will further damage the interest and prosperity of Egypt and its people.
