We strongly condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated against a hotel in Tripoli, yesterday (27 January). We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the attack, convey our condolences to their families and wish speedy recovery for the wounded.

We believe that the best response to this terrorist attack, which aimed at spoiling the targeted environment of dialogue and reconciliation, is to participate in the ongoing dialogue process, by avoiding to be drawn into provocations.

In fact, a long-lasting stability and security in Libya can be ensured only through formation of a comprehensive national unity government, as a result of the ongoing political dialogue process. Turkey will maintain its strong support on this matter.
